Charlotte Metro High School Happenings

God has wonderfully opened up doors to spread the good news of the Gospel in many of our schools through the ministry of FCA. Please continue to pray that the Lord will continue to go before us in these schools. We have student/coach huddle ministry, coaches bible studies and special event ministry in full bloom…

FCA thanks Pastor Clint Pressley for sharing the gospel with the Butler football team.

This is all possible because of your prayers and support!!!In Christ,

FCA thanks Pastor Clint Pressley for sharing the gospel with the Butler football team.

UNC Charlotte FCA Fall 2012 Update

Friends –
It has been a powerful couple of weeks here in Charlotte!  How humbling it is to watch new beginnings unfolding on the UNC Charlotte campus.  The Lord has opened up many new doors and I wanted to give you an update on some of the things that have happened.  “Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God.  They were filled with awe and said, ‘We have seen remarkable things today.’” [Luke 5:26].  I pray that you take a look at what you have been sowing into:

·         We had the opportunity to serve every one of the coaches on the college campus as well as several of the athletic department staff at one of their recent monthly meetings.  It is something that had not been done before in that setting. We  were able to feed them a Chick-fil-A breakfast spread and also give them all a copy of “Lead…for God’Sake!”

·         I had a friend of mine, Chris “Shep” Shepherd, former NFL player, fly in and speak to the UNC Charlotte football team.

·         The first ever football player Bible study has launched and we have around 8-10 guys showing up weekly. Praise God!

·          This past Monday we had the most athletes and students we have ever had show up to the Monday night campus meeting to hear Pastor Naeem Fazel share his story.

·         I was able to order all of the Bibles and books that we were praying for thanks to many of your contributions and pledges to contribute! We were able to give out several Bibles just this week to athletes and students who did not own one – Amen!

Here is a very significant E-mail I received from someone in the UNC Charlotte Athletic Department –
“Thanks so very much for providing breakfast for the coaching staff this morning.  I appreciate you taking time to reach out to our group.  They took all the remaining copies of the books you left!
We appreciate and value  the partnership.”

I am grateful for the ways you have invested in what we are doing as we proclaim the name of Jesus on the UNC Charlotte campus.  Have a blessed weekend.  Much love and gratitude.
