FCA Charlotte Team Football Camp 2013 Participant info.

relentlesslogoFCA Team Football Camp is designed for a high school football team to attend as a group along with their own coaches and trainers.  FCA staff and volunteers will facilitate the logistics of the camp and the coaches will be responsible for their teams both on and off the field.  Our goal is to provide an atmosphere where relationships build between players and coaches in an environment that encourages their spiritual growth.

We are fortunate to be working with UNC Charlotte and their fabulous facilities.  UNCC_Logo_1cHousing will be in one of the High rise dormatories, meals will be in the cafeteria, football will take place on the new intramural fields which are all turf, and our meetings will take place in the Student Union.

May 1, 2013 Update

ImageRelentless is the theme for FCA Summer Camps 2013.  Hebrews 10:39 says “We are not to shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved”.  This summer over 400 Charlotte area athletes will converge on the UNCC campus to be challenged to understand that:

1.  God pursues us Relentlessly

2. We should pursue God Relentlessly

3. We should share our faith Relentlessly to those who do not know.

Please pray for 9 local Football Teams that have signed up and accepted the challenge.

Mike Minter is a former Carolina Panther and current Head Coach at Campbell University

Join us Friday May 3rd at Carmel Presbyterian Church and hear former Carolina Panther Mike Minter along with local coaches, and our local Area Director Bryan Woodell share what

God is doing through FCA in local schools. It’s always fun to share the Kingdom Victories with those who share our desire to see our youth and coaches discover an eternal faith in Jesus Christ.

New Local Leadership Needed

This is the season we are looking for community leaders to join us in expanding the FCA impact.  We are actively looking for help in Gaston County, the North Meck Area, and the South Metro area.  If you are interested let us know and one of our staff would love to share the vision and see what God would have you be a part of through FCA.

Spring Training for FCA Charlotte Staff

In the last month our local staff enjoyed a full day of spiritual training from Dan Webster.  We were led through spiritual steps of leading ourselves and being led by God.  We also sent three of our staff to Kansas City for Training, one to Orlando for Coaches Ministry Training and experienced Local Board Training during our Staff and Board Retreat in Myrtle Beach.  We believe in lifelong learning and keeping our calling clear and focused.
